In 1974, a small ramen shop opened in Yokohama Shinsugita, giving birth to Yokohama-style "iekei" ramen featuring a rich broth made from pork bones and chicken broth, combined with a special soy sauce tare (seasoning). This style became beloved by locals and widely known as a representative ramen of Yokohama.
